He's Here!

I'm so proud to announce that Elijah Chase Henley has made his debut!! He arrived into the world at 1:55 pm, weighing 7 pounds 9 ounces, and absolutely perfect and precious.

It was a joyful day full of peace, thanks to so many of your prayers. Sure, there were tears at times, but what a miracle it is to witness this sweet baby's life in his first few hours. We appreciate that miracle now more than ever, and all enjoyed our cuddle time with baby Eli. Cassie was so sweet to let me and Cortni come meet him first, and I was honored to be the first one to get to hold him. This was a special blessing for me, and I am so thankful, Cassie and Austin.

And, here are three of the best big cousins around:

Kendyll, Carlie, and Abby Kate cuddled him, held him, hugged and kissed him, and talked to him. Abby Kate even sang "Happy Birthday to Eli". Absolutely priceless. This was a sweet time for all of us, watching our girls love on Eli. There was not a dry eye in the place as we watched them dote on him...I {along with everyone else} couldn't help but think of the little boy that would have been so lucky to call these three his sisters...

But, I know Eli will be lucky to have them for his cousins too. :)

I have so many more pictures to share tomorrow. But, for now, this mommy/aunt is heading to bed, thankful to the Lord tonight for providing the miracle of life today, and for being right beside us all day as we waited to meet this precious one.
