This weekend, I got the special treat of a girl getaway! It included lots of eating, laughing, crying, praying, and relaxation----with not much sleeping fit in there at all! I think the average bedtime was around 3 a.m. :)
It was such a blessing to spend time with these women, and to share our hearts and lives with each other again after many years apart. It reminded me how important it is to spend time with girlfriends who know you and love you just the way you are. There is nothing like it.
We had such a fun time remembering college times from almost 15 years ago (yikes!), and it was amazing how much we remembered like it was yesterday. Many of the stories made us laugh so hard---and we also determined that our ability to laugh without peeing has greatly decreased with time (and the birth of children. :)
Girls, I am so glad we did this, and look forward to the annual reunion. :) Even though many of our pictures are without makeup....and even without showers....they're still cute to me!!

And, last but not least, our dog friend, Uma. This sweet girl gave us lots of entertainment too. :) I think we wore her out completely.
Of course, while Mommy was away, the girls enjoyed a "Daddy weekend", including Blockbuster movies, too much candy, a fun gymnastics party for cousin Sophie, lunch with Pops and Grandma, "break the rules night" (where they get to stay up late), outside playtime, and lots of Daddy lovin'. I'm always so glad to get back to lots of hugs and squeezes. Daddy and these girls sure make a mommy feel loved. :)

I HATED to miss it! I just got back from my 5 yr. anny trip and it wasn't in the budget to travel again so soon. Keep me in the loop for next year. You all look great!
I came home and Nora's arm was literally covered with tattoos. What fun they have with daddy. :)
