I am way overdue for a post or two about the family, but I really wanted to get this out there, for those who have 30 minutes to sit and listen...
For quite a while, I've been a listener of KCBI, 90.9, a local Christian talk radio station. So many good programs and speakers...one of which is Chuck Bentley of Crown Financial Ministries. I heard him last night as I was driving, and I literally parked the car to hear every word of what he was saying. I'm not one to talk alot about economics or politics...because usually it's over my head, to be honest. But, God really got my attention through this broadcast last night!
Go to: http://www.crown.org/Media/MoneyLife.aspx, then click on the 9/30/08 broadcast, titled "Economic advice to our national leaders". I promise it's worth listening to!
If you have a few minutes, it was convicting to hear about what we, as Christian families, should be doing right now in response to what appears to be the "Economic Earthquake" of our century.
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." II Chron. 7:14
Have a great day! (And, yes, I will be back with pictures and stories from our last few weeks...eventually. :)

I just finished listening...thank you for sharing that. I have gotten involved in all the talk about this crisis and it has really brought my attention to our lack of obedience and wisdom. Our God is a God of order and peace...this fear and panic we are demonstrating is NOT His reflection. So many fingers are being pointed at the government and failed policies. Everyone wants someone to blame. When do we take responsibility for our own actions? Why are we taking out loans that we cannot afford to pay in the first place??? Anyway...I can get really fired up about the whole thing. It is even more disheartening to watch the politics going on and our "leaders" acting like children fighting on the playground. I'd rather put my 7-yr-old in command over any other choices at this point. Okay...better stop...heart rate is going up:).
Love you!
