We were originally planning to be enjoying our Memorial Day weekend in San Antonio at the Posey Resort :)...but, the craziness of life caught up with us, and we spent it at home instead.
So, today, was a family day---which served as a much needed break from work (for Mark), VBS (yes, it's "that" time again for me), school for the girls, and busyness of life.
It began with a family trip to Target and Toys R Us early this morning for new backyard toys, and a climbing set for Abby Kate. I am a giddy mommy when the day starts off at Target. :)
Kendyll and I spent the afternoon shopping at Sam Moon and having grape soda together...nasty stuff, but I love that girl and it's what she wanted. :) We got home with new flip-flops and jewelry (also making for a happy mommy)...and walked into find a sleeping Daddy and a very cool climbing gym in our living room.
The next stop was the neighborhood pool for the first time this year. (Apparently, a lot of neighbors had the same idea...which made it fun for our girls.)
After all the craziness of swimming, we rented a movie, ate pizza and popcorn, and ended the day like this:
These are what my favorite days consist of. :) I hope your holiday was happy too...

You look like you have had a fun couple of weeks. Your trip to Chicago sounds so fun. That is such a cool city and I was so surprised at how nice everyone was. Mark is such a sweet husband to surprise you.
I love days like that, too! Ours went much the same way. I also LOVE Sam Moon :) I will have to call you next time we make a trip that way!!!
