My Little Pumpkins

I'm blogging these pictures from yesterday, so that I can remember the cute qualities in my children. Today was a rough one....actually the last four hours were the rough part. We need to seriously crack down on some girls around here....especially in the areas of listening and talking respectfully to each other. Whew! Anyone else have a day where you wonder why God entrusted you with so many little hearts when he knew you were going to LOSE your patience repeatedly with them?

Okay...enough of that. On to the pictures.

Abby Kate had tubes put in her ears yesterday morning and was perfectly happy the whole day. She wasn't even groggy and sleepy, like I remembered the other two being. So, we decided to head to the pumpkin "flower park", as the girls call it, at lunchtime to let out some energy and enjoy the sunshine. (and get the pumpkin patch checked off the fun fall festivity list.)

A pumpkin picture of three girls under age six is nearly impossible, so we didn't really try too long. We just let 'em run and play. But, here are a few that got close to working....
Abby Kate's favorite part of the pumpkins was the hay they were sitting on. Yum yum!Carlie stops for one pose. And, only one! Oh well, at least she's smiling. :)Then, we have Kendyll, who can't pose enough. She kept thinking of new "sister pictures" for me to take. So funny....This is when Carlie knew it was the last picture attempt...she got quite excited at the thought.

And, at the end of the day, a random man said that he thought we needed a family picture. He didn't know what he was volunteering for. This is the closest we got to even having all of our eyes open. :)
Okay, I feel better. They do all have a cute side, even when it's hard to see until the minute they lay their heads on the pillow. I do think I better head back into give them kisses while they sleep...to make up for the impatient mommy moments of the evening.

We all have days like that! I pray for patience all the time and give thanks that children are so forgiving. The girls are adorable! Glad Abby Kate came through the surgery without any trouble.

Your teeth look GREAT:) I haven't seen you without the bracelets...and I even forgot you had them off...until I took a double take at the family picture because something didn't look right!

The pumpkin pictures are adorable, as always! Abby Kate looks so happy, especially after having tubes in her ears! Third children are the best:)

AND--on the patience issue--I think it's just you:)

Looks like a fun time in the pumpkins! All the girls look precious. I know we are all guilty of wanting that perfect picture but isn't it fun when they surprise us with even cuter ones that show their personalities.

I am there with you on the patience comments. We all have those days:) Love you all and hope to see you around our neck of the woods soon:)

First of all, love the brace-free smile! Congratulations! Second, so glad that AK's tube insertion went so well. Third... I have totally been there. You are such a wonderful mommy as well as a wonderfully real mommy... and I love you.

Glad to here that you have patienc issues too...it is always nice to know I am not alone in that boat.

The pictures turned out great! Did the random man attempt to take your picture professionally as well? When we were at that same pumpkin patch a few weeks ago, a random man offered to take our picture and then wanted to follow up by taking a picture with his camera and charge us for it.

I'm always amazed at how different those three girls are! Love the pictures. I'm sad to say that I don't think we will be making it out to a pumpkin patch this year. So I will live vicariously through your pictures! Can you Photoshop my kids into one of those please!

So cute! I love every picture you posted! Emma is a lot like Kendyll...she'll plop down in a spot and start smiling until I snap a picture. :-)

Just because you lost your patience today, doesn't mean your not a patient mommy. Many times, I've seen you turn situations into learning lessons and thought...wow, she's good!
