Roly-Poly

Abby Kate is a busy little squirt. We're starting to think she might have more spunk than her sisters! And, that will be a lot of spunk!!

The day before she turned 3 months, she started attempting the roll. The day after she turned three months, she rolled from her back to her tummy. I was in shock. I had just told Mark when she began attempting this trick, that it would still take her weeks to actually succeed. I guess she wanted to prove me wrong on that one. The next day, she did it three times. And, she's been "on a roll" ever since. :)

So, now she is a regular roly-poly. She has perfected the art of rolling, and literally looks like she is flipping, she does it so fast. Of course, once she is on her tummy, she raises her head up high, scoots her little feet like she wants to take off across the room, and then gets tired and dives face first into the floor. So, we turn her back over, only for her to do it all over again. Here she is in action: (of course, it would be better in a video....)
Playing on her back....
The roll over....

The head lift....And the face plant...I love that she is starting to explore her world, hit her toys, talk to us, and move around like this. Where does the time go?

I am going to try to play catch-up on my commenting:)

Loved the pictures from your trip to Hawaii. The family picture was beautiful but how could it not be with such beautiful subjects. I at least feel like I have experienced some of Hawaii now since we have not been yet. Glad you had such a wonderful trip.

I am totally with you on the blogging. I blog for me to remember things too. I am hoping to one day put all the information in a scrapbook but it has not happened yet:)

I love watching sweet Abby Kate grow. She is going to have to hit the ground running to keep up with her cute sisters. looks like she is a real joy. Maybe I will get to see her in person soon.

She can't be that big already! I am always asking my girls if they asked me if they could grow up and then they get in trouble for doing it without permission! It seems like I was just reading your blog about the sonogram trip when you found out it was another girl. Wow. She is SO sweet!
