Well, today was the big day! We had our doctor's appointment and sonogram this afternoon and were so thankful to see that all was developing well for our precious baby. And, at the same time, we got the wonderful surprise of knowing that our "Little Bit" is a baby GIRL! So, we have named ourselves the Jacobs Girl Factory! It is really hard to believe that we will have three girls in our family, and I don't know when it will really sink in! But, we are all thrilled with the news. I don't know who is more excited, Kendyll or Mark.
When the doctor told us the gender, he said "Well, it looks like Kendyll and Carlie will know what to do with another baby sister!" And, seriously, Mark just started laughing. It was a giddier laugh than I have ever heard come out of my husband's mouth. I eventually asked "Are you okay??" He was smiling from ear to ear and just kept saying "I knew it! I knew we would get a girl!" So, he was beyond excited. Then, we went to tell the girls. They stayed at our sweet friends, Terry and Nicole's, house while we went to our appointment. We brought them "It's a Girl!" balloons to tell them the news. Kendyll closed her eyes and we put the balloon in front of her. I said "do you know what that means?" She screamed "It' s a GIRL!!!" And, then proceeded to scream and jump and hug us all a few times (including Carlie, who didn't really want the excited hugs). She was so excited for the news she had been hoping for.
On our way home in the car, she said "Mommy, God answered my prayers because I prayed EVERY night that He would make it a girl!" Then, she busted out with "God is so good, God is so good, God is so good, He's so good to me....He answers prayers, He answers prayers, He answers prayers, He's so good to me." I really still wonder what she would have done if we had said it was a boy. :)
We had planned to go straight to the store to buy something for the baby, but we all decided that we'd rather go celebrate by eating and playing at the park for a while. We had a fun time having a picnic outside and listening to Kendyll (and Carlie) call the family one at a time and spread the news. Every time Kendyll told someone new, she sounded just as giddy as Mark did in the sonogram room! It was so precious to watch and listen to.
We have been thanking God tonight for our wonderful day, our wonderful news, and most importantly, for the absolutely amazing health of yet another baby in our family. We don't take for granted for a minute her perfect heart, perfect brain, or even perfect kidneys! I loved getting to see her profile and to know that in just a few months, I'll be kissing those sweet cheeks. We love you Baby Girl!!

YEA!!! I cannot wait to be an aunt AGAIN!! AND to another girl:) God truly is good!!
(I told Cortni that Braden is going to be a very sensitive boy after this family is through with him! Either that or he will only want to go play with the Henke's:)
Congratulations!! I am so glad that you are having another cute, sweet girl for one of my boys to marry some day. One more girl after this one and all my boys will be taken care of!!
I am so glad that you had such a wonderful trip and made it home safely. What a blessing!
About the picture thing, I LOVE Picasa. It is a free download from Google and it makes posting pictures so much easier (and ordering prints). I also really like how it organizes my pictures and how easy it is to crop and repair red eye. You can post 4 at a time. You simply pick a picture that you want, hold it in the tray (there is a button to hold it), pick the next one you want and hold it, etc until you have selected the 4 (or less) pictures you want to post. Then you pick the Blog button and sign in and bingo! Pictures are posted!! The best thing about Picasa is that it is FREE! Can you tell that I like it!
So glad that you are doing well and that your precious baby girl is perfect!
So glad all is well with you and your family. I know you are all so excited to be adding another little girl to the mix of two precious ones already. May God continue to bless your family. We miss you guys and hope to stay in touch!
Love,
Shelle & Chris

Congratulations! Having girls is so much fun! I absolutely love how your husband is so excited. My husband is a great "Girl Daddy" too!
Congratulations! How much fun 3 girls will be. I can see it now...an article in ACU Today in several years about the 3 Jacobs girls. :)

Healthy baby girls are true miracles from the Lord!!!
We love her already!
Congratulations! It was fun seeing ya'll at the parade on Saturday! 3 girls. I can't even imagine. You have such a sweet family! I'm just so glad everything looked great and healthy!
Yea! I already e-mailed this to you, but I'm so excited for you! Three girls, man, you and Candice need to talk! :) So fun, can't wait to hear more about her.
So, when's #4? Just kidding. We are so happy for you and I'm glad you have somebody to wear that dress you bought in San Marcos. A boy would have looked funny wearing that!
Oh yeah, and maybe this one will be better suited for Noah since we've already determined that he and Carlie are too much alike! That is if I can keep him out of prison!
Awesome--congrats!!
Congratulations! Growing up in a house of girls is much fun! Sharing clothes, fixing hair, painting nails...blessings...
I am late to post...but YEA!! Sara makes a good point with the whole Easter dress thing!
I am so excited to have another precious little Jacobs girl! I cannot wait to hold her!!!
Love you!
Yeah! Rob is panicked at the thought that ours may be a baby girl as well. He says there will simply be too much estrogen for him to exist in the home - especially when they are 14,13, and 12! Yikes! Congrats. I am happy for you guys and can't wait to hear more. We are trying to get through this really yucky part and to the more exciting parts of pregnancy!
One more question...where do you get those huge gorgeous bows? Maybe it's a Texas thing because I surely can't find them!
I have been SO wondering when we would find out the sex... Yeah! At least you know you have plenty of clothes for sweet baby #3! Congrats!!!
I am so excited for all of you. Mark is such a super Dad for little girls. It takes a special one..I know because I am married to one. I do not know whose face I would have liked to have seen more Mark or Kendyll. Love you guys! The prayers will keep coming:)
Congratulations! I have lots of friends with three girls and there always seems to be a party (make that tea party) going on!
Congrats! Wonderful news!
