New Things to Share

This is a random blog. A few new things around here that I wanted to share.

First of all, I had to post my surprise from a few days ago. I spent my whole weekend selling my diaper bags at a craft bazaar that was pretty much unsuccessful for me. While I was gone on Saturday, Mark took the girls to pick out fall mums and pumpkins and surprised me with a front porch and sidewalk all "done up" for fall. (This has been on my list for weeks now, and didn't seem to ever get accomplished....so I was very thankful for the beautiful flowers and no work on my behalf!) He said the girls had a blast picking out the stuff and just kept loading up the cart with new things they found. They also had even more fun planting the flowers. Any excuse to dig in the dirt for the entire morning is fun! Apparently, Carlie preferred dumping the dirt ON TOP of the flowers, rather than in the empty pots. But, Mark had it looking all pretty by the time I got home. Thank you, Daddy, Kendyll, and Carlie for doing something so sweet for me. :)

Second thing....here is my favorite new purchase from today (see below). I picked up this coloring mat for $2.50 today at Joann's, including crayons and an eraser. It made pre-dinner time SO nice, as I cooked and they colored. They didn't even WANT to stop when it was time...and they only fought once! (over the purple crayon) So, go pick one up for that hour or more between naptime being finished and Daddies getting home from work! :) We might have it out every afternoon now. Third thing...another new thing that I love at our house. I bought it a month or more ago, and it still isn't hung. But, every time I pass it, I smile, thinking about our baby #3, and how perfect this painting is for our family. Don't the older two girls look just like Kendyll and Carlie?! I was thrilled when I found it...and I wasn't even looking for it! (but, then, that's how I find most everything I shouldn't buy though, really!) Now, I just have to decide where to put it...

Last thing....this is what we did last weekend--the craft bazaar. And, if you like what you see (which I know you do!), you need to check out Stephanie's adorable website at www.fancypantsboutique.biz. Of course, a few things are mine and one other very crafty lady (Alisa), but we don't have cute websites like Steph does! And, she's got so many cute things starting up and I know lots of you mommies would love it! So go order from her! :)

So, how random was that blog?! Just stuff I was thinking about...exciting I know.

I LOVE the chocolate brown and pink diaper bag! Those are the colors of Cora's nursery. How do I score one of those? It seems like the website is still under construction. Send me an email if you have some information! :)

Me too! Send me some info too! I'm doing our nursery for Adiah in chocolate brown, pink, and cranberry.

Oops! I didn't realize that Steph hadn't put up all her cute pictures yet. :) She will soon though, I promise!

As for the pink and brown bag, Leslie and Amy, those are the bags I make. Email me and we can talk about bags for your sweet girls if you're wanting one. :)

Oh my! I can't believe Mark can decorate like that! I guess I shouldn't worry too much about him in a house full of girls :) Love your stuff your making. Too bad I'm done with the baby years. Well, I'm not that upset about it, but I do miss all the cute baby stuff. I hear they even make pacifiers with some bling at Target now!

That picture that you found was precious and yes, before I even read it I thought the kids look so much like Kendyll and Carlie! What a treasure!

Your diaper bags are so cute. You are so clever and crafty. I can't believe more people didn't snatch them up at the craft bazaar. They are adorable.

And.. Mark is full of hidden talents. How fun for him to surprise you with a decorated porch and have so much fun with the girls in the process.

We miss you. Mary Alice, who reads your blog along with me, has been asking to see Kendyll. She loves her brother, but I think a house with sisters sounds like much more fun.

Chels...that picture is CRAZY! I looked at it and thought it must be of Kendyll, Carlie, and Sophie (like a picture that someone had painted.) Then I read what you wrote! The "Carlie" in the picture looks JUST LIKE HER, the way she is leaning over on with her hands on her knees. That is precious!

Hey...I was thinking that maybe I will order a diaper bag from you. I was thinking a patchwork of different black and white fabrics with blue chenille with "Braden" embroidered on it. Doesn't that sound cute!?! :)

Random blogs are the best...you cover so much territory in a short amount of time or is it space?

Anyway, I went back to JoAnn today and bought the color mat. You are so convincing with the perfectly occupied children. I mean who wouldn't want that?

I love the beach picture. It's beautiful anyway, but it is especially fitting for your family. What a great find! My mother bought and framed a similar picture when we were younger that resembled my sister and me in a field of flowers. She even tried to re-create the picture, so you could take pictures of your girls in exactly the same poses on the beach. Ha-ha! Actually, it might work since they wouldn't all have to be smiling and looking at the camera.

Finally, I loved how Carlie kept laughing out loud at the firemen today. I guess they were really funny! When she got up to the truck, she wouldn't go near it and Krista had to save her. She had a great day!

Ha Ha Cort....that bag is gonna be the CUTEST bag you've ever seen!! That's why it's taken me almost a year to make it for you. It's the hardest bag I've ever made and I'm just taking my time to make it perfect.....Do any of those excuses work?

And, Nicole, I LOVE the idea of recreating the picture. I'm totally going to do that someday on Kailua Beach in Hawaii! :) And, I just told the story tonight about Carlie and her laughter at inappropriate times with the firemen. What WAS that??!!
