For fellow mommies out there....go to www.starfall.com!!
I was told about this new website this last weekend (thanks Suzanne!). It's for kiddos learning to read, and it is THE BEST website I have seen! It is very interactive and fun for kids, and Kendyll is completely hooked on it!
Starfall has something for every stage of reading, from learning letters and their sounds, all the way to older skilled readers. Lots of games, puzzles, and easy-to-read books online. (plus fun stuff to order for teachers or parents!)
Just thought I would share for those who are in this stage like we are. Kendyll didn't even WANT to watch a TV show today----she just wanted to play word games on Starfall instead!

I am glad Suzanne told us about that! I will have to keep that in mind for a few years down the road! First we have to conquer "Ma Ma"
Love you!
We're planning our trip to Dallas soon. What do you think about the reunion?? Should we just pick a place and spread the word to all meet there or try to plan something more involved for a later time. We have two possible evenings which are NEXT Monday night or Tuesday night. Let me know what you think and I'll post something on our blog and ask others to do the same. If we decide to do it next week...where should it be??? Somewhere kid friendly between D and FW. You can reply on your blog and I'll check back soon!

good idea!
Thanks. I am trying to push Carley to read. All she wants to do is chew on the books! She can't chew on a computer screen though!
Seriously though, our elementaries use that site and love it.
Thanks for the starfall reminder!! My older daughter's kinder teacher promoted that site big time.
My kids have always loved that site! It was great to see you at the zoo. Your kids are so very cute. And your nephew! I just wanted to squeeze him.
I enjoyed looking around on the website myself...Sam is going to love it! Thanks for the tip!
I love hearing about new webistes... Lauren LOVES computer games like that already- I am glad to have something else to show her.
Do you have one simply for the alphabet? Or rather yet is there one that will magically place the desire in thier lives to WANT to learn the alphabet? I need fundamentals here, not the stuff for advanced children like Kendyll. Maybe she will rub off on Hollyn this week...one can only hope.
