Well, another birthday party down. I sure love planning them, decorating for them, having them and watching the joy on my child's face as she experiences them, but I sure don't miss them once they're gone! This year was unique and very fun, because we shared our party with two other friends whose birthdays are within a week or two of Kendyll's. As you can tell from the pictures, they LOVED getting to do this together.
The party was a "cowpoke" theme and we had fun games for them to play (thanks to Logan's mommy!), a cute cake (made by our sweet friend, Amy), adorable matching shirts (thanks to Trinity's mommy) and a game exchange for the TWENTY FOUR children who attended. It was by far the craziest party I have ever been a part of, but so fun for our kids. I asked Kendyll what her favorite part was, and I got about 16 answers. She couldn't even decide! But, some of her favorites were:
1. The sack races where she hopped really fast.
2. Putting the sheriff badge in the cowgirl's hair. (They were blindfolded and had to "pin the badge" on the sheriff....they all thought it was hilarious when they missed....)
3. Her very own star cake that looked just like her.
4. Getting to have "her barn" there just like Carlie's party (I reused a cardboard barn from Carlie's farm party in August!)
5. My favorite answer of all: "That all of my best friends came at the same time to play with me!"
It was a successful party for sure. And, today, she is already planning Bday #5. Sheesh---I need some down time before planning starts again!
On another note, we are all feeling MUCH better around here. Although there are lingering coughs, everyone seems to be on the mend. After being stuck in the house for over a week, they were very excited to get out on Sunday afternoon and feed the ducks. We had such a fun family afternoon visting our neighborhood pond, eating Thin Mints, climbing trees, and watching Annie (our golden retriever) scare the ducks away again and again....You always appreciate those fun family days after you've had a house full of couch-ridden sickos!
So, we're off to enjoy a calm week, with not alot on the agenda. And, I welcome every minute of it---especially with weather like this to enjoy!

The party looks like it was SO cute and SO fun for everyone! You guys outdid yourselves -- you were the talk of Sunshine School yesterday for sure. Their was an excitement buzz in the air you could feel at that end of the hallway.
Hopefully all of us are done with the sickness so we can enjoy this awesome spring weather. We went and fed the ducks this morning too!
That's a great idea. If only Hollyn had a few more friends in her birthday month. We're thinking about doing the gift exchange thing too--not sure how that's going to go over. Wish we could have been there but maybe we can come to that 5th b-day that she's already planning.
That was a very fun little party and the decorations were so darn cute! Kylie had a great time playing all the fun games that y'all had designed. Riley loved the pig balloons, too.
My favorite part was when Emma sat in Kendyll's chair and started messin' with her cookie! Poor Kendyll! She looked like she had a great time overall, though.
I always love her smiles!!!
What a fun day! Bryce turns three next week, and I know you are just like me and don't know where the time has gone.
ps--Phillip Nichols commented on my blog. He said they could host a reunion at Garden Ridge. So, get planning, party girl!
What a fantastic party! It looks like so much fun. You moms did a great job! Ever thought about being a party planner?
I am so glad that Kendyll had such a great birthday party! You guys are so creative! I really can't get past the fact that Kendyll is 4!!! How fast time flies!
Fun fun! I can't wait to have parties for you to help me plan :)
We really enjoyed getting to spend a little time with y'all the other night! I can't wait for some sister time over Spring Break! Love you!
We had a great time at the party. Kaylee loved getting to see Kendyll and all of her other friends. I am so glad we got to make the trip because it made Kaylee's month! As usual the three of you women went all out. Everything turned out great from the decorations to the party favors to the cake. Thanks for inviting us to join the fun! We love you all!
